the films

How do you measure how good a director is? I'm sure Hollywood just adds up all the money made from their movies and will tell you just from that. I look at the films as being just that, and decide from watching them. Yesterday I heard that Director Bob Clark had died and I was like, "Oh that's a shame." I knew he was the director of Porky's and A Christmas Story and after reading the obituary I learned he was the director of some of my favorite movies. I learned he directed Black Christmas, From the Hip and Turk 182(A great overall film) and then I felt bad. Turk 182 is usually overlooked as one of the many film that are just released and forgot about. It's sad when there are people in Hollywood who can make gems like that and most everything we get is the same crap over and over from the same people who believe in more sizzle, and less stake. In the end all we're left with is the movies, and in this case he left us some great ones.
