I now(officially) have a musical library!

When I started putting my music together on my iPod I started with the CD's I already had and some songs I found off iTunes/internet. All the while knowing that I could not call my collection complete no matter how many songs I had, because there was always 1 missing, anybody want to take a guess before reading on? That's right, Stairway to Heaven by Led Zeppelin... I picked up the 2 Disc early/later greatest hits set and added them to the library.

Now It may seem I'm making a really big deal about this. I have some things that almost everybody has and I also some lesser-known titles as well. The truth is that most of the really great stuff I like I already have(That is currently made, that I know of). I have some well known performers like Queen, the Beatles, Tom Petty, Selena, Aerosmith, and, Eddie and the Cruisers(yeah, I know). Then my collection also has performers who aren't as well known but are every bit as talented; they are Ashley Monroe and Christina Mason(Links to you right), ect... I know, no guys; I could put Lee Majors here because he sang the unknown stuntman but that just wouldn't be funny.

Music is subjective, but the truth is Stairway to Heaven had to be there. Is it my favorite song? No, it's not... That would be I will Never be the Same by Melissa Etheridge and I have my own reasons for it, and truth be told I'm not a super fan of her music as a whole... But it is the only concert I ever went to and I did see that song performed live. It was worth it.

My music library must have all my favorite songs in it to work. Of course some are better than others, Ponderous is nowhere near as good as Yesterday. If you keep these things in perspective you realize how important all your songs are from Imagine to Your Song to We Are The Champions to Dream On to Everybody Knows to Annie's Song to Top Of The World to Dreaming Of You to (Don't Fear) The Reaper to Sentimental Street. I could go on but you get the idea, some songs listed here I rated are 5, some 4, some 3... point is they are all part of the library and all have to be there.

All right now I'm just taking up space so I'll just close with this...

"If I leave here tomorrow,
would you still remember me?"

Do you even think maybe the problem's you?

The answer is:

The question is: How do you throw away a multi-million dollar career?

You see, this is the problem. People like that who get the opportunity to work in the Film/TV industry at this level, don't take it seriously, and act like it's their God given right to be a star while there are thousands(with a lot more talent) that will never even get close.

In case you were wondering, yes this was going to be the Jump-the-Shark; I had to postpone it for another time(yeah that's right, I chicken out). Let's face it, I haven't kept this Blog up to any kind of updated schedule and I can't use being too busy as an excuse(and believe me, I wish I could have something to fill my time) but between constant headaches, restrictions, and having to be aware of every little thing around me that might a be (health)danger.
Kind of getting off subject; Through comments and Emails(mostly for some reason, don't want me to name drop I guess?) that a certain readership are more responsive to a more comedic style of Blog posting. A couple I've gotten some good response for were Unleaded and an Orange Julius? and My Space: The new SPAM (Post #40). It's also noteworthy that some Blank Email(no I'm not kidding) thought it was cool that my old Computer was named "Asia Argento Slept Here", actually I guess it still is named that.
Then there is another part of the readership that enjoys the more(what I term) "Realistic Reality Realm"(3 R's, Ok I'll shut up). These Posts deal with the serious side of life, how we deal with life as a whole(or how I do, as the case may be). Examples of this are Post #10 and any of it's updates or my personal favorite post... I will take this opportunity to direct you to read it again(yes, again) The Music of our Lives, Where is it now? May 02 2006. If I could make meaningful points and topics like that all the time I would, but every time a headache hits, everything stops.
Well what I'm trying to get at is that somebody suggested to me in an Email(of course, please leave comments on the Blog before readers starts thinking I'm lying about getting Emails) that I should run a 2nd Blog and spilt the posts between the serious and the comedy. Now personally I'm not too impressed with the idea at 1st thought but the idea is one I hadn't thought of. I have seen that some people do operate more than one Blog. Why am I still typing?
